VOLUNTEERING OVERVIEW

Our programs are oriented to strengthen the social development of the communities bordering the Magdalena River.
We work with children and older adults and we use education, empathy, and care for the environment as the way to create a social transformation in the community.
Our flexible weekend schedule gives our volunteers the chance to explore outside of Barranquilla, while at the same time getting to call our tight-knit community your temporary home.
Every volunteer’s experience, empowerment, and growth are equally as important as anyone else in our family. We hope that the personal development and lessons learned during your time with us stay with you long after Barranquilla and ultimately inspire you to empower those in your own communities.
This volunteer program is an invitation to get to know Colombia while you leave a smile to it's people.

HOW?
The first step is to review the available programs and choose the most suitable for you. Then, complete an online application form.
After receiving your application we will send the schedule and if selected you will be placed in one of our programs.
Acceptation depends on availability and needs within the programs.
-A short interview via Skype may be requested prior to your application being approved.
Then we will email you to confirm your placement.
*Please note: Volunteers will arrive in Barranquilla and join our Orientation program the next two days.

WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
Our service for volunteering in Barranquilla includes the active support during the preparation stage and throughout the time of your stay. But if you look closer, we provide far more than that! We make sure, that the internship or volunteer stay in Barranquilla is beneficiary for both parties, the participant, and the community.
